Pininfarina’s first special edition hypercar touches down in Canada!
The name Pininfarina holds substance within the automotive world, as it is the design lead behind some of the most iconic cars in the world. From the early-era Alfa Romeo Spider to the revolutionary Ferrari Enzo, the Pininfarina badge has been proudly displayed as a reminder that automotive design is both innovative and timeless. Since debuting the Battista hypercar as an homage to the founder of the Carrozzeria Pininfarina coachbuilding company, Pininfarina has patiently awaited the day when its inaugural hypercar would finally meet road-legal tarmac. The team of professionals at Grand Touring Automobiles is proud to welcome Canada’s very first Automobili Pininfarina Battista Edizione Nino Farina.
Setting the stage as a tribute to legendary Formula 1 driver Nino Farina, only five unique examples of this special edition Battista will be produced to celebrate F1’s first-ever World Champion. Grand Touring Automobiles’ configuration features a race-inspired red, black, and white livery adorned with state-of-the-art aerodynamics that bridge the gap between road-legal hypercars and Formula 1 race cars. Each of the five Battista builds represents a different milestone in Nino Farina’s life and is immortalized with door plates featuring Nino’s birthplace and date, his first ever pole position and race victory at the 1950 British Grand Prix, his second victory at the 1950 Swiss Grand Prix, and his third and final victory at the 1950 Italian Grand Prix, and 1950 F1 World Championship victory.
Inside the Battista Edizione Nino Farina, Pininfarina styles the driver-centric cabin in a bespoke two-tone theme, with the driver seat designed in black leather and the passenger seat upholstered in beige and black Alcantara. On the back of the driver’s seat, the headrest displays an embroidered laurel wreath and ’01’ graphic in gold. At the same time, the Automobili Pininfarina logo is finished in red on the beige passenger seat. The Pininfarina Battista Edizione Nino Farina boasts an impressive powertrain featuring four electric motors that deliver a combined output of 1,900 horsepower and 1,696 lb-ft of torque. The powertrain allows the hypercar to achieve remarkable performance figures, with a top speed of over 217 mph and an astonishing 0-60 mph time of just under 2 seconds.
