Lexus showcases its 35-year journey at Pebble Beach during Monterey Car Week.
At this year’s Monterey Car Week, Lexus commemorates its 35th anniversary with a thoughtfully curated display at Pebble Beach. The exhibit outlines the brand’s evolution from the 1990 Lexus LS 400, which launched Lexus into the luxury market, to its latest concepts, the LF-ZC (Lexus Future Zero-emission Catalyst) and LF-ZL (Lexus Future Zero-emission Luxury). These BEVs (battery electric vehicles) represent Lexus’ vision of future mobility, with advanced digital cockpits and innovative Arene Operating System.
The display also revisits a pivotal moment in Lexus history with the iconic 1989 commercial that featured the LS 400 balancing champagne glasses on its hood while accelerating to 145 mph. Its exhibit serves as a reminder of the brand’s long-standing priority on precision and sophistication. Alongside historic models, the current Lexus lineup, including the GX 550, IS 500, and LC 500 Convertible, provides attendees with a glimpse into the brand’s present and future direction.
In addition to viewing the displays, visitors can participate in the Lexus Drive Experience, offering test drives through the picturesque Pebble Beach Resorts. The weekend festivities will conclude with a charity event to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Monterey County, where someone will win a two-year lease on a 2024 Lexus GX 550 Premium.
