Monterey Car Week 2018 was downright incredible and the auction results put numbers behind it. Sure, many were looking forward to seeing all of the cars that would be unveiled during the week, as well as the cars parked at each event, but it was the auctions that brought in some serious cash flow. According to Hagerty’s over preliminary results from all auction houses, a total of $367.6 million in combined sales occurred across all auction events, a much higher number than last year’s figure of $327.6 million. Additionally, this year’s Monterey auctions had a combined sell-through rate of 61 percent, two percent higher than last year and there were even more lots being offered this year. Those are numbers that prove this year’s automotive week in California was a success in terms of auctions, with the unveiling of cars like the Bugatti Divo and Lamborghini Aventador SVJ furthering the success.
Below are the top ten sales that happened across all auction houses, as well as links to the top ten sales from each auction house. Check them out and get ready for next year’s events!
