Lamborghini Polo Storico celebrates 10 years of restorations, rare documents, and storytelling through its ever-growing historical Archive.
Lamborghini is taking a moment to look back, ten years back, to be exact, at the work its Polo Storico division has been doing to keep the brand’s history alive. At the center of that effort is the Archive, a growing collection of over 30,000 original documents, photos, sketches, and records. Housed at the brand’s headquarters in Sant’Agata Bolognese, it remains the backbone for restoring classic Lamborghinis, authenticating rare models, and keeping the past well within reach. To celebrate its anniversary, Lamborghini just released a short video that gives an inside look at what makes the Archive such an important part of the brand’s identity.

Since established in 2015, the Archive has played a behind-the-scenes role in some major heritage projects. It was crucial in rebuilding the original Countach LP 500 prototype in 2021 and even helped verify the Miura P400 used in The Italian Job. According to Lamborghini’s After Sales Director, Alessandro Farmeschi, every restoration or certification begins with the Archive. It’s a treasure chest of stories, technical details, and designs that connect the dots between past and present. And as the brand continues to evolve, the Archive remains a reminder of where it all started.

Polo Storico works with former employees, specialists, and even collectors to dig up and digitize more material. That ongoing effort makes it easier to restore older models with accuracy, and it keeps the brand’s legacy rooted in facts, not just folklore. To highlight ten years of that work, Lamborghini is rolling out four short films, each focused on a core part of Polo Storico’s mission, restoration, certification, and historical expertise. The celebration started earlier this year in snowy St. Moritz and will continue this summer at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, before wrapping up in Bologna at Auto e Moto d’Epoca.
