While every Lamborghini that leaves its Sant’Agata Bolognese factory packs enough power, the Italian supercar professionals push the boundaries of performance with track-capable versions of their most coveted models. The new Lamborghini Urus Performante proves to be the perfect example of this strategy, as the once-luxury SUV quickly transforms into a monstrous 4-door supercar. With two Performante models in Lamborghini’s current lineup, the guys at CarWow put them head-to-head in their newest YouTube video.
Although most will put their money on the Huracán Performante because of its 1,698lbs weight difference, the Urus Performante does generate 666 horsepower over the coupe’s 640 horsepower output. Sadly from a standstill and roll race, the Huracán’s 5.2L naturally-aspirated V10 provided the instant torque to leave the Urus and its 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 in its rear view. The Urus Perfromante did in fact outperform its sibling in a 100-0mph stop test. Watch Lamborghini’s Urus Performante go up against its Huracán Perfromante by clicking on the video.
