Great way to end the year.
These past two years have been unprecedented in a multitude of ways, and they’ve changed the way many employees work on a daily basis. The Board of Management and the General Works Council at Daimler and Mercedes-Benz know just how tough it’s been on their employees and is recognizing them for their efforts during these times. How? Daimler and Mercedes-Benz have announced that their eligible “tariff-scale” employees in Germany are going to be going home with a record profit-sharing bonus this year that amounts up to 6,000 euros, or about $6,700. It should be noted that there are approximately 100,000 employees in Germany eligible to receive the bonus, which would be up to $670,000,000 in bonuses. That’s quite the number.
