A major force in the e-sports world gets AMG’s hottest roadster.
Mercedes-Benz has already established a partnership with League of Legends, one of the world’s most popular competitive online video games, and its publisher, Riot Games. However, that partnership has now expanded to include League of Legends’ Hall of Legends, a new hall of fame created to honor the greatest players, which will induct a new member each year.
The first inductee is ‘Faker,’ whose actual name is Lee Sang-hyeok. As part of the official induction ceremony, Mercedes-Benz gifted Faker a bespoke art piece and a customized Mercedes-AMG SL 63. The flagship open-top model from Mercedes-AMG, the SL 63, features all-wheel drive, stunning looks, and robust twin-turbocharged V8 performance, and Faker’s example of the car features customizations courtesy of Mercedes-Benz’s MANUFAKTUR department.
The special touches include Faker’s signature on the headrests and Hall of Legends lettering on the floormats. The accompanying artwork was created in collaboration between Mercedes-Benz and a renowned design studio, featuring Faker in his hometown of Seoul, South Korea, with his special AMG performance car in the background, in an art style similar to that seen in the League of Legends game. Being the first inductee into the Hall of Legends for his incredible achievements in League of Legends, Mercedes-AMG honored Faker with a special iteration of one of the most desirable high-performance vehicles in its lineup.
