Koenigsegg is making a statement with the new Jesko Absolut: they know how to make the fastest cars in the world. The new Jesko Absolute will, in fact, be the fastest Koenigsegg that will ever be made, present and future. Christian von Koenigsegg, the CEO and founder of Koenigsegg, says that the Jesko Absolut will be a “land-based rocket-ship determined to reach underheard-of speed in record-setting pace.”
When designing the Jesko Absolut, Koenigsegg went out of their way to reduce drag. Every single surface element on the car has been in a way to reduce drag while increasing stability and high speeds. Koenigsegg, essentially, put together this equation: a drag coefficient value of 0.278 Cd + frontal area of 1.88 m2 + 1,600 bhp = “more extraordinary speeds than any other Koenigsegg or any other fully homologated car before it.” While they don’t disclose a top speed, there’s no doubt in our mind that we will find out soon enough.
