Porsche has been around for an impressive 75 years, making some of the world’s most desirable performance luxury cars, and the legendary 911 model has been around for 60 years. With two important anniversaries falling in the same year, Porsche revealed special cars to celebrate its history. One of them was the Porsche 911 Sport Classic, a sequel to the 997-generation 911 Sport Classic from 2010, and an homage to various moments in 911 history, including the excellence of the current generation. It combines a powerful engine with a purist-favorite 7-speed manual transmission and includes a ducktail spoiler for old-school aerodynamics. Its historical cachet landed it a spot on the cover of the September 2022 issue of the duPont REGISTRY Magazine.
Limited to 1,250 examples, the Porsche 911 Sport Classic is a collector or 911 enthusiast’s dream car, and this one for sale at HGreg Lux in Pompano Beach, Florida is a beautiful example. It features Fuchs-style rims and racing stripes for a retro-inspired look, with paintwork in Sport Grey Metallic. Stepping inside reveals an interior that combines the sleek modern 911 look with retro touches throughout. Open-pore wood trim hearkens back to past models, as well as gauges backlit in green. Leather upholstery complements Pepita houndstooth fabric, which is yet another nod to classic 911s as well. As a full package, the Porsche 911 Sport Classic is an ode to what makes the 911 so storied and respected, and it’s a must-have for any Porsche enthusiast or car collector.
