Debuted in 1975, during the golden era of integrated bracelets, the Laureato found its own niche among watch enthusiasts who appreciated style over flash. In celebration of its 50th anniversary, Girard-Perregaux reveals the all-new Laureato FIFTY, limited to only 200 pieces worldwide.
True to its heritage, the Laureato FIFTY maintains the cues that have made the watch so recognizable, including the octagonal bezel, tonneau-shaped case, and perfectly integrated bracelet. Measuring at 39mm across and just 9.8mm thick, the watch retains its steel and 3N yellow gold combination that nods to the original bicolor model from 1975. Its deep grey dial, detailed with a Clous de Paris texture and 3N gold accents, represents timeless style. At the same time, small touches like the GP double-arrow counterweight and color-matched date wheel reveal Girard-Perregaux’s attention to detail.
Beneath the sapphire crystal lies the newly developed GP4800 automatic movement, an in-house caliber showcasing GP’s longstanding dedication to manufacturing independence. Through the caseback, owners can admire the oscillating weight in 3N yellow gold and the design’s subtle homage to Girard-Perregaux’s legendary Three Bridges architecture. Completing the new look is a steel-and-gold bracelet that has been subtly re-engineered for comfort. Shorter links improve flexibility, while a discreet micro-adjustment system allows a perfect fit for daily wear. The all-new Girard-Perregaux Laureato FIFTY is now available through authorized dealers with a price of $28,320.
