Girard-Perregaux introduces subtle updates to its Tourbillon with Three Flying Bridges.
La Chaux-de-Fonds, a city saturated in the traditional art of watchmaking, continues to influence Girard-Perregaux’s timeless examples of haute horology. The Tourbillon with Three Flying Bridges, which first made waves throughout the industry in 2021, gets a fresh update for 2024. While staying true to its roots, this newly refined version introduces small but meaningful changes that make a big difference in wearability and overall aesthetics. The case now features a more rounded middle with shorter lugs, offering a better fit for those with slimmer wrists. The sapphire crystals have been tweaked for a smoother side profile, and the crown has been made larger and rounder for easier use. Even the hour and minute hands got a little upgrade with more Super-LumiNova for better visibility in low light.
Despite these updates, Girard-Perregaux didn’t mess with what makes the Tourbillon with Three Flying Bridges so special. The three gold bridges still steal the show, now dressed in sleek black PVD with their edges showing off just a hint of pink gold. These bridges, which take two days to finish by hand, continue to float elegantly above the movement, giving the watch its signature airy look. The watch also comes with two straps: a new fabric effect strap and a black alligator strap with a gold accent so that you can switch up the style depending on your mood. Girard-Perregaux’s latest take on the Tourbillon with Three Flying Bridges keeps the essence of the original while adding just the right touch of modern comfort and style. The all-new Girard-Perregaux Tourbillon with Three Flying Bridges is now available at authorized boutiques for $171,000.
