Fascinated by automotive design and technology, MB&F founder Max Büsser applied a fuel-driven approach to his first HM5 lineup in 2012. Since then, multiple iterations of MB&F’s Horological Machines feature recognizable speedometer-style displays on the side of the case that recalls the daring and futuristic design of the 1970s. Today, MB&F is proud to continue its automotive-inspired legacy with the release of the all-new HM8 Mark 2. Presented in two limited-edition styles, the HM8 Mark 2’s 47mm grade 5 titanium case comes available in British Racing Green or White. The shape of its case finds inspiration from the Porsche 918 Spyder, while its sapphire crystal commemorates the Zagato double bubble.

Relocating its dial on the forward-facing side of its case, the MB&F HM8 Mark 2 uses a speedometer-style display to indicate the time of day or night. The traditional dial area is dedicated to exhibiting MB&F’s engine, a three-dimensional module developed in-house by MB&F and powered by a Girard-Perregaux base movement. The sapphire backcase includes a special Horological Machine No. 8 logo and engravings signifying the limited 33-piece release from MB&F. Calfskin strap options for the HM8 Mark 2 include white for the British Racing Green and green for the White model.
