66 million years old and still roaring.
Known for thinking outside the box and pushing the boundaries of traditional watch design, URWERK prides itself on creating truly complex and modern watches inspired by the world around them. Tapping into the dinosaur age and the 66 million-year-old Tyrannosaurus Rex, URWERK just launched the UR 101 T-REX as the newest addition to its UR-101 collection, limited to only 100 pieces worldwide. The special edition watch features a textured 41mm case that resembles the scales and skin of a T-Rex, crafted from hand-painted guilloché bronze that withstands an impressive 30-meter water resistance. Its 180-degree display pays homage to URWERK’s original model with its signature “wandering hours” design.
While bronze remains the main material used, its PVD-coated steel-covered caseback features integrated lugs that house the controls to set the UR-101. The UR-101 T-REX generates power from URWERK’s in-house UR-1.01V self-winding movement, using two satellites to operate its hours and minutes functions. Adding comfort and practicality to a watch best described as “out of this world,” URWERK fits the T-Rex-inspired UR-101 on a black rubber strap with a calfskin lining. The new limited-edition UWERK UR-101 T-REX is now available at authorized boutiques around the world with a price tag of CHF 3,800.
