Ferrari Celebrates 499P, F80, 296 Speciale With New Commemorative Coins

After winning at Le Mans, opening a new chapter in hypercar history, and creating an exclusive masterpiece, these new coins celebrate the V6’s place in Ferrari’s legacy.

As part of the 2026 Coin Collection of the Italian Republic, the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato has minted a collection of coins dedicated to none other than Ferrari. With a rich motorsport and automotive heritage that will soon be a century long, Ferrari has been instrumental in shaping the Italian automotive industry, and recent years have opened a new chapter for the historic manufacturer.

After a hiatus that lasted 50 years, Ferrari returned to the 24 Hours of Le Mans at the top class of endurance racing with the hybrid Ferrari 499P race car, and it won the race three years in a row. In addition to the Ferrari 499P’s incredible racing success, its innovation with V6 power also includes the new 296 Speciale, which is Ferrari’s newest exclusive supercar, and the Ferrari F80, the long-awaited successor to the LaFerrari, which uses a V6 hybrid powertrain to develop unprecedented power and performance among Ferrari road cars.

The F80, 499P, and 296 Speciale are all subjects of the new collection of coins, which celebrates the V6’s new place at the center of performance for the brand, and the coins have been minted in gold and silver. The gold coin, with a nominal value of 100 euros, showcases the 499P, and is issued with just 499 units. Meanwhile, the silver coins are a collection of three, with one coin showcasing the F80, one with the 499P on its face, and the final coin showcasing the 296 Speciale.

Each silver coin has a nominal value of 6 euros, and both the silver and gold coins have the Prancing Horse on their other side. At the intersection of automotive enthusiasm and numismatics, the new Ferrari coins are a stunning tribute to a performance legacy that is being forged in real time, and they will be available on the official channels of the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato starting April 9, 2026.
