Polestar To Launch Four New Cars In Three Years

The Scandinavian luxury electric vehicle manufacturer is launching its grand tourer, a new SUV, and a successor to one of its first models.

Polestar has been at the forefront of the luxury electric vehicle industry, lending Scandinavian design and character to a high-tech electric vehicle lineup to create vehicles that are powerful, luxurious, easy to drive, and beautiful to look at. Now, Polestar is on the cusp of starting deliveries of the new Polestar 5 this summer, a four-door grand tourer that will redefine the manufacturer’s standards of performance. However, this is only part of Polestar starting what it calls its “largest model offensive in its history,” as four new cars will be launched in three years.

While deliveries of the new Polestar 5 are set to begin soon, a new variant of the Polestar 4 SUV coupe is set to be launched later this year. The 4 has proven to be the manufacturer’s bestseller so far, and the new variant is said to target a wider customer base with greater versatility. Deliveries of the new Polestar 4 variant are slated for the fourth quarter of 2026. Meanwhile, the Polestar 2 sedan, the model that served as the first all-electric vehicle from Polestar, will be given a completely new successor, which is set for an early 2027 launch.

In 2028, Polestar plans to launch the Polestar 7, a compact premium SUV, with which Polestar plans to take on the largest electric vehicle segment in Europe, where compact SUVs account for around a third of BEV sales in 2025. While a planned launch date has not been named as part of the four-car offensive that Polestar has laid out for the next three years, the Polestar 6 roadster is also on the horizon for the brand. As the young manufacturer continues to grow, its expanding lineup continues to represent EV innovation and luxury at the cutting edge.
