Returning to its historic rally roots, Porsche developed the off-road-capable 992 generation 911 Dakar as an homage to its involvement in the legendary and treacherous Paris – Dakar Rally during the 80s. Launched in a strict production of only 2,500 units, the adventurous 911 announcement left Porsche owners and collectors sprinting to dealerships in hopes of securing an allocation to configure. One of the lucky new owners of the Porsche 911 Dakar is racecar driver and Porsche fanatic Leh Keen, known for building classic off-road 911s for customers through his venture, The Keen Project. Leh took to Instagram to introduce his 911 Dakar to friends and fans, showcasing an incredible Shade Green Metallic finish.
Still rocking the paper temporary tags, the Porsche 911 Dakar has already undergone some minor upgrades to enhance Leh’s experience on the trails. Along with an aero-focused roof rack platform, Leh teamed up with the wheel specialist at Rotiform to replace the factory wheel setup with a set of forged FTD wheels and Toyo Open-Country All-Terrain tires. The lightweight wheels are painted in gloss white and include Rotiform x Dakar graphics that match the exterior shade. With what seems to be the perfect layout for the ultimate off-road adventure, we can’t wait to see Leh Keen take his new Porsche 911 Dakar on some undiscovered roads in the future.
