The 2023 Bugatti Baby II is an extraordinary 75% scale electric recreation of the iconic Bugatti Type 35. A one-of-one special edition example is set to be sold at Gooding & Company’s Pebble Beach Auctions on August 18 and 19. This bespoke, hand-built vehicle, crafted by The Little Car Company’s engineering team at their UK headquarters in Oxfordshire, brings the classic 1924 Grand Prix car to life with modern twists. Using 3D scanning technology of the original car and hand-formed aluminum bodywork, the Bugatti Baby II is a true homage to the original, powered by an electric motor. The particular example to be auctioned at Pebble Beach is unique and has been specially curated, finished in Gunpowder Black paint with a gold-plated radiator and headlights. It celebrates the 72nd anniversary of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and comes adorned with a solid silver Bugatti Macaron badge, celebrating over 110 years of luxury and craftsmanship.
The 2023 auction model is a Vitesse, featuring lightweight carbon fiber bodywork and a 60% power boost over the base model. It also includes a long-range 2.8 kWh battery pack, providing 50% more range.Modern additions, such as the fuel pressure gauge transformed into a battery gauge and the adjustable pedals machined from solid aluminum billet, add contemporary elegance. The proceeds from the sale of this remarkable Bugatti Baby II (estimated between $100,000 – $120,000) will be donated to the Pebble Beach Company Foundation. Both the Little Car Company and Gooding & Company expressed their excitement and honor to present this unique collector piece.
