The Premium Time Company is a Dutch start-up offering a global community of watch enthusiasts a genuine chance to win brand-new Rolex timepieces. The brainchild of founding partners Gavin Matheson and Floortje Selis, the company was born from the frustration at the insane waiting lists and eye-watering grey market prices for iconic Rolex timepieces.
Whilst Rolex produces somewhere between 800,000 and one million watches a year on average, demand far outstrips supply. The recent pandemic threw oil on the fire, driving a surge in investing in luxury timepieces, adding to the significant supply and demand issues already frustrating would-be buyers.
Waitlists for models such as the iconic steel Submariner, GMT-Master II, and Daytona can now run anywhere from two to seven years in some cities, and that’s assuming you have a long-lasting relationship with the official Rolex Dealer.
With a good chunk of the audience based in North America, it’s no surprise that the company has already delivered several watches to US-based winners, including the classic Rolex Submariner No-Date, Rolex GMT-Master II ‘Batman’ and the just-released white dial Tudor Black Bay GMT.
There’s still time to get involved with the current competitions, with the stunning green bezel Rolex Submariner ’Starbucks’ (seen below) due to end after the weekend, and the vintage-inspired Omega Seamaster 300 live for another two weeks.
The Premium Time Company sources new timepieces from its network, then delivers monthly low-ticket, skill-based competitions with excellent odds, from just 700 tickets per watch, depending on the competition. The timepieces change each time, but remain in-demand and sought-after models. As demand increases so do the frequency of the competitions, enabling the ticket numbers to remain consistently low and delivering plenty of chances to add an icon to your collection.
