While a rare 1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider by Scagletti sold after auction for an undisclosed amount, the second most valuable sale of the event came from a track-ready 2010 Pagani Zonda R 'Revolución Specification' for a cool $5,340,000. A trio of Ferraris featuring the 288 GTO, F40, and F50 made the top fifteen with a combined value of $10,905,000. Amelia Island is known for attracting the earliest examples of automotive excellence, which is why a 1931 Duesenberg Model J 'Disappearing Top' Convertible took the number 4 spot at $4,295,000. The most outstanding statistic of RM Sotheby's weekend at Amelia Island is the $1.2 million that was raised to benefit Spinal Bifida of Jacksonville.
