In 2023, Porsche marked its 75th anniversary with a globally unified celebration - a vibrant palette of its iconic colors, showcasing the brand's courage and innovative spirit. The "Driven by Dreams" campaign, envisioned by the Brand Communications Department in Zuffenhausen, artfully blended the company's rich history with its futuristic vision. Jurgen Aigner, a lead creative behind the project, elaborates: “For the 75th anniversary, we embraced our past and future, involving all aspects of the Porsche universe, from museums to fans, under our brand motto 'Driven by Dreams'."
Ferry Porsche's legendary ambition, encapsulated in his determination to build the car of his dreams, remains a cornerstone of the company’s ethos. Aigner's challenge was to convey this through striking visuals that showcased Porsche's bold color choices, reflecting its daring and innovative spirit. Eight 'hero' Porsche colors, including Speed Yellow, Ruby Stone, Lava Orange, Neptune Blue, and Forest Green, were paired with iconic cars and showcased in textured settings to convey their unique qualities. This culminated in the 'Dream in full color' program, featuring playful, artistic interpretations like the candy-swirl-themed 356 and the 992 911 Turbo S amidst a kaleidoscope of historic and modern Porsche colors.
The campaign achieved global success, fueling various initiatives with wraps, decals, displays, and digital campaigns. Remarkably, it even lit up Shanghai's skyline in its vibrant colors. Personal stories tied to individual colors were also collected on a special 75th-anniversary page, enhancing the celebration with inspirational films and digital artworks, encapsulating Porsche's colorful heritage and promising future.
