Ten years ago Mate Rimac began chasing his dreams in his parents’ garage. Now he has earned a seat at the big table as Porsche has injected Rimac with $83 million to forge a stronger partnership. When the Croatian automaker announced a new round of financing, VW Group jumped at the opportunity. This journey began in 2018, with Porsche buying in at 10%. With Rimac developing and supplying many components of the Taycan, it only makes sense to enable more collaboration. With Porsche now holding 24% of the brand, we will undoubtedly see Rimac innovations adopted by Audi, Lamborghini, Bentley, Bugatti, and hopefully Ducati. When they do you will see it here first, so stay with us for all your Porsche news.
