The yacht design studio of Max Zhivov has posted on Instagram their latest design that combines the historic with the futuristic. The new Drakkar S concept was inspired by Scandinavian culture and Viking ships, which is apparent by the shape and the protruding bow design. Unlike those historic ships, the Drakkar S is completely autonomous. Via an app, a destination can be picked for the yacht to travel to. What’s more, it can also approach berths at the perfect distance for mooring, taking surface and underwater obstacles into account. But the brilliance of the Drakkar S doesn’t end there. If you’ve noticed, the top of the concept houses solar panels and that’s because it’s an electric boat. While this design remains a concept now, we would love to see it actually be created.
