Forever synonymous with the world of motorsports and endurance racing, the Rolex Daytona Cosmograph was used as a time-tracking tool long before its hype as one of the most desirable luxury watches on the market. Being one of the most legendary automotive-inspired chronographs, it’s only right that Rolex celebrates the 100th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans with a commemorative Daytona model. Rolex is pleased to celebrate the centennial 24 Hours of Le Mans with a subtly stunning version of its 18k white gold sport model. The 40mm case of the Rolex Daytona features a familiar black ceramic tachymeter bezel, adorn with a vibrant red ‘100’ marker to signify the 100th anniversary of the race.
Styling the dial in a whole new fashion, Rolex reversed its coveted “panda” dial, using black as its base and white sub-dials to contrast its design. The special edition Rolex Daytona (Ref. 126529LN) also showcases vintage-style font on each sub-dial. Rolex equipped the Daytona with an in-house 4132 movement, responsible for the watch’s hours, minutes, sub-seconds, and 24-hour chronograph functions. The intricate caliber is visible through Rolex’s new sapphire crystal caseback. The all-new 24 Hours of Le Mans 100th Anniversary Edition Rolex Daytona comes on a matching white gold oyster bracelet and is available through authorized dealers for $51,400.
