The Ferrari 288 GTO is one of the most influential cars in the history of the Prancing Horse. Its powerful twin-turbocharged V8 engine, wide stance, racing-inspired ethos, and exclusivity make it today one of the most incredible collector Ferraris in the manufacturer’s history of over 75 years. However, it also has a coveted status as the original supercar making up Ferrari’s legendary “Big Five,” consisting of the 288 GTO, the F40, the F50, the Enzo, and the LaFerrari.
CURATED is known for getting its hands on some of the most incredible cars ever made. Some of the dealership’s team went on a mission to find some of the greatest examples of the Ferrari 288 GTO in the world, with incredibly low mileage and in beautifully pristine condition. The journey went from Italy to Switzerland, where a 990-mile example was kept in Bern, hoping to replicate the same success as the team had in purchasing a 99-mile example in Abu Dhabi.
With only 272 288 GTO examples in existence, the chance of finding and buying such a low-mileage example is scarce. In Switzerland, the car had a beautifully original interior and a well-preserved condition overall. By purchasing the car, CURATED has secured yet another one of the most excellent examples of the Ferrari 288 GTO ever made.
