Porsche’s SUV icon reaches an important milestone.
The Porsche Macan has recently entered a new chapter, adding an electric version alongside the popular ICE-powered luxury performance SUV. The new Porsche Macan builds on the legacy of one of Porsche’s most popular models, which since its introduction, would trade places with the Cayenne as Porsche’s highest-selling model over the years. Now, the electric and gasoline-powered versions of the Macan have together gained immense popularity among Porsche’s lineup, and the manufacturer is celebrating a major milestone for the iconic model.
That milestone was the completion of the millionth Porsche Macan, which has just rolled off Porsche’s Leipzig, Germany assembly line. In production since 2013, the Macan has quickly become one of the most favored models from Porsche for its luxury, performance, sharp looks, SUV practicality, and compact form factor. During Porsche’s 2024 financial year, 82,795 Macans were delivered to customers.
Now, the millionth Macan is a Macan 4 Electric, finished in Frozen Blue Metallic. The interior is a two-tone combination of black and Chalk leather, with Adaptive Sports Seats, a heated GT Sports steering wheel, a head-up display, and a panoramic roof.
Its owner is Stefan Schmidt from Kiel, Germany, who was handed the new vehicle at the Porsche Experience Center in Leipzig, located in the same place as the factory. With a cherished legacy built over the past decade, the new electric chapter for the Porsche Macan is blossoming with the millionth example of the luxury performance SUV icon built and sold.
