Two friends living their best lives!
Some friendships are built on shared jokes or late-night talks, but for a few, the bond is forged in horsepower and high revs. For Curt Garner and Yahn Bernier, their connection has always revolved around a love for all things automotive, and more specifically, factory Ferrari race cars and ultra-exclusive production models. Their passion for speed and Italian craftsmanship recently caught the attention of Ferrari’s Tailor Made program, turning that dream into a shared reality of owning bespoke Daytona SP3 specs.

The two met about a decade ago at Ferrari of Seattle, and what started as casual car talk quickly evolved into a decade-long friendship. Business successes, Garner in the food industry and Bernier in gaming software, both have been given the opportunity to pursue their four-wheel dreams, from road cars to Ferrari Challenge race cars, pushing the limits on track and forging connections as much about trust and shared experiences as horsepower.

That connection reached its apex in 2022, when the friends, along with their families, traveled to Ferrari’s Tailor Made offices on Park Avenue in New York to configure custom Daytona SP3s. Tailor Made, Ferrari’s bespoke program, pairs clients with experts who guide the creation of each car, guaranteeing every choice, from exterior shades to interior stitching, reflects a blend of personal taste and Ferrari’s relentless design DNA. Bernier’s wife and daughter chose a striking Glossy Sanusilver for his SP3, with subtle Rosso F1 2004 accents and red technical-fabric seats evoking the legendary 250 GTO 4153GT. Garner and his wife went bolder with Blu Elettrico, complemented by Alluminio Lucido and Rosso Fiorano accents, which visually connected to Garner’s Monza SP2. What might have been a transactional process instead became an immersive, creative configuration experience, concluded by a private dinner with family, Ferrari representatives, and top Italian wines.

Already, both friends have been putting miles on their bespoke SP3s, combining everyday drives with track and car show appearances. Bernier occasionally drives to work or events, while Garner plans a summer road trip to Pebble Beach with his wife. Beyond the cars themselves, it’s the shared journey, the design discussions, and the laughter along the way that define their story. As Garner puts it, “I will absolutely do this all over again, and I hope to do it with Yahn.” Bernier nods with certainty; it’s less hope than promise, a reminder that, for these two friends, the ultimate supercar isn’t just about speed, but the road you take together.
