Most people hop into a sedan expecting a safe and predictable ride to wherever they’re going. But they know to expect a little more when that sedan has a sharp “T” on its logo.
Recently, two different passengers each got a chance to see just how much they didn’t expect from Tesla’s newest beast, the Model S P90D fully equipped with Ludicrous mode. A new upgrade announced by the marque in July gives these four door electric sedans the same performance abilities as the new Lamborghini Aventador SV.

Believe it or not, in the form of the Model S P90D, Tesla’s battery-powered family car weighing in at 4,647 lbs can reach 60 mph in 2.8 seconds.
Autoevolution shared two Aug. 23 YouTube videos from Pete90D, who seems to be the lucky owner of one of these upgraded Model S’, with each showing his passengers’ reactions to a 0-60 mph run. The first video then checks 30-60 mph, while the second checks 40-60 mph. Each time, the heads hit the headrests and the smiles get a lot bigger.

The first passenger, as the caption tells us, has even driven the P85D before, but still wasn’t prepared for the knocked down acceleration time.
