Acura Brings “One And a Half” NSXs To One Lap Of America

Although Acura has discontinued production of the NSX Type S supercar, the legendary hybrid still represents the pinnacle of performance for the Acura brand. That’s why it’s participating in the 2023 Tire Rack One Lap Of America Rally, which spans 8 days and 3,200 miles, stopping at various track events. The car will be supported by the volunteer Honda of America Racing Team, and Acura has also come up with an ingenious solution for carrying spare tires, tools, and extra equipment: turning the rear half of another NSX into a trailer.

Featuring the beautiful design of the car that is towing it, the trailer shows off the same wheels, tires, and everything else from the original car. However, in the place where the mid-mounted V6 engine would have typically been in the NSX, carrying cases for the equipment are in its place. With further support from the rallying NSX also coming from the performance-oriented Acura TSX Type S sedan, Acura is ready for a great rally, from May 6 to May 13.
