BRABUS Celebrates 40th Anniversary

Forty years in the aftermarket is a cause for celebration, so BRABUS arrived in Frankfurt with a host of stunning cars. The Frankfurt Auto Show of 2017 was a perfect venue to display the latest in performance upgrades ranging from the S65 to the SmartCar.

The world premiere of the BRABUS Rocket 900 took center stage. Based on the S65, it uses more boost and new software to unleash 900 horsepower and 1,106 lb-ft of torque.

For those with a historical appetite, BRABUS Classic works with Mercedes to restore them to showroom condition. Master technicians disassemble and refinish every part, replacing and repainting any worn surface. To show their talents, a 300SL chassis was joined by a W111 series.

Another first was the BRABUS 900 “One of Ten”. By taking the same advances found on the 900 Rocket, the G65 is boosted to 900 horsepower and 1,106 lb-ft of torque! The new engine is a 6.3 liter stroker V8 is topped by big turbos, each one with an 80mm downpipe. Forged one-piece wheels measure 23″, which are barely kept on the road during a 3.9-second leap to 62 mph. What a beast!
