BRABUS Debuts Its 900 Crawler, Limited to Only 15-Units Worldwide for $800k

BRABUS’ new Crawler is a luxury off-road monster.

While Mercedes-AMG products boast mind-blowing performance and technology, the German aftermarket specialists at BRABUS aim to elevate those aspects with upgrades that transform the look and feel. Although BRABUS is known for creating road vehicles designed with off-road capabilities, its newest release is born far beyond the beaten path. BRABUS is proud to unveil the all-new Crawler as the newest addition to its extensive fleet of performance 4×4 vehicles. The BRABUS Crawler makes its introduction as the world’s first-ever BRABUS supercar based on its own chassis, presenting an aggressive skeleton design that defines itself as an extreme adventure vehicle. The BRABUS Crawler was created specifically for off-road action and therefore is not certified for use on public roads. Production will be limited to 15 units worldwide.

BRABUS

The exterior features a special maximum-strength steel frame tube chassis exclusive to the BRABUS Crawler, which is painted in a vibrant red finish that highlights the craftsmanship of the German engineers. As part of the brand’s ‘Black and Bold’ design, the never before seen concept sheds traditional vehicle components like doors and windows. Instead, the construction showcases a carbon fiber roof panel and hallmark BRABUS rear wing that provides sun protection while further reinforcing the Crawler’s integrity. The exterior receives a massive weight-reduction by incorporating exposed gloss carbon fiber as the sole material for each body panel. The BRABUS Crawler achieves its name from a set of off-road 20-inch BRABUS Monoblock HD forged wheels that pair perfectly with an extremely robust suspension that ensures a ground clearance of 21-inches. With a design unlike any other luxury 4×4, the BRABUS Crawler solidifies itself as a monster of its own kind.

BRABUS

While the exterior highlights the adventurous capabilities of the BRABUS Crawler, the open interior layout showcases its luxury touch with a bespoke configuration that offers outstanding comfort for the driver plus up to three passengers. A set of four full-carbon racing seats feature a monochrome red Silvertex material with diamond pattern stitching, a design adopted from the BRABUS Marine range of high-performance sport boats. Along with sport and comfort amenities, the interior includes state-of-the-art GPS navigation on the passenger side for the co-pilot to designate directions during an expedition. The interior of the Crawler features red anodized trim pieces that provide striking contrast throughout the pedals, footrests, and GPS mounts. Fit with a sophisticated 2-way communication system and BRABUS carbon helmets, the BRABUS Crawler comes out of the box ready for anything in its path.

BRABUS

Being the main focuses for the new limited-edition 4×4, BRABUS takes performance to the next level with a BRABUS Rocket 900 4.5-Liter Twin-Turbo V8 that generates over 900-horsepower to its all-wheel-drive system. Its astonishing 3.4-second 0-60mph launch is managed by a 9-speed dual-clutch transmission, which also helps to get the Crawler to its electronically-limited top speed of 99mph. The BRABUS high-performance exhaust system with sporty matte black tailpipe trims and actively controlled valves ensures the right acoustics and looks for flying over the dunes, while further perfecting power delivery by reducing exhaust back pressure. The all-new BRABUS Crawler is set to release worldwide with a limited production of 15-chassis and a price tag of $800,000.
