V8 + Boost = Excitement
The roar of superchargers can be heard in downtown Houston. That’s because once John Hennessey and his team get their hands under your hood, brutal power will soon appear. On Monday Dodge announced that limiting the production of the Durango Hellcat was a mistake. The 2,000 reservations evaporated within minutes, so they told the plant to keep building them.
We’re happy because Hennessey has proven the ability to offer 1,000 horsepower at all wheels in a reliable (and tame) daily driver. This is done without even touching the camshaft because that is the realistic limit of the Hemi’s bottom end.
