The Tesla Cybertruck, after being anticipated by the automotive world for years, is making waves when it comes to its performance and innovation. However, in its latest video, Hennessey asks the question: how does the Cybertruck stack up to one of the best gasoline-powered performance trucks? That truck is Hennessey’s MAMMOTH 1000 RAM TRX, a Ram TRX that has been upgraded to produce an incredible 1,000 horsepower. To put both trucks to the test, they battled it out in a drag race.
While the tested Cybertruck wasn’t the “CyberBeast,” it was rather the all-wheel-drive “Foundation” series dual-motor Cybertruck. Despite its ability to deliver torque more quickly with electric power than combustion engine power, the incredibly powerful MAMMOTH 1000 TRX was able to come out ahead in all three runs of the race.
Regardless of which truck won the race, both are excellent examples of engineering, innovation, and pushing boundaries in the truck world, and the automotive world in general. Whether it’s the Tesla Cybertruck, or it’s the Hennessey MAMMOTH 1000 RAM TRX, high performance thrills and pickup truck practicality can come in the same vehicle.
