Lexus RC F Carbon Enhanced V8 Sound by QuickSilver

If you ask a car enthusiast to name their favorite exhaust sound, they’ll likely reply, “A big V8!”  quicksilverexhaust-072815 (2)

Lexus’ new flagship model is the RC F Carbon and it has a big V8, packing 471 horsepower.

The trouble is that, from the factory, they simply aren’t loud enough. After all, the enthusiast ordering this version is choosing it for the engine and all the sensations that go with it.

Lexus UK came to QuickSilver Exhaust Systems for a solution. They ran the Lexus RC F  in the Supercar class at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and required a sound to match the proper-performance. Former British Rally Champion Dai Llewellin planned to give the RC F a thoroughly good ‘pasting’ – sideways up the hill, time after time for 3 days to prove the durability of the car and its system.

Using experience learned from recent similar developments for Aston Martin, Lotus and Infinti, the exhaust developed for the RC F by QuickSilver features wireless electronic valves that can be instantly flipped from mild to wild, keeping both the enthusiast owner and his most eco-sensitive neighbors happy.

The QuickSilver exhaust installs with no emissions worries and can be obtained in the UK from Lexus UK and worldwide from QuickSilver HQ in England. You can appreciate the RC F Carbon at Goodwood in the video above, added July 10 by PistonHeadsTV, or you can experience it first hand at England’s Carfest South & North through August.
