Next-Gen 2018 Aston Martin Vantage is Finally Here

Aston Martin has been teasing the new Vantage for weeks now, but we’re finally here with the official unveiling of the new English sportscar. Here are a few highlights:

“It speaks volumes for the outgoing Vantage that it is the single most successful model in Aston Martin’s history. Creating a worthy successor has been a challenge to relish and a huge source of motivation,” says Aston Martin President Chief Executive Officer, Dr Andy Palmer. “I’m enormously excited by what we’ve created: a new Vantage that’s more explicit in looks and intent, wrapping heart-pounding performance and dazzling dynamics into an everyday usable package. A true sports car with a sharper look and a keener dynamic edge, the new Vantage is the Aston Martin pure driving machine enthusiasts have been waiting for.”

The new design of the Vantage is quite self-explanatory. Overall, the entirety of the new Vantage is brand-new, giving the model a fresh look that it’s been in need of. The interior has also been revamped with new style and, most importantly, Aston Martin has increased the car’s headroom.

Now, what we’re really here for is what’s powering this car and what it’s capable of. The soul of the new Vantage is a new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that set as far back as possible under the hood for optimal center-of-gravity. As for power, this new engine generates 503 hp and 505 lb-ft of torque. Handling the power is a rear-mounted ZF eight-speed automatic transmission that rockets the 3,373 pound car from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. It can continue to accelerate until a top speed of 195 mph. The new E-Diff will be sure to handle power correctly when rocketing from 0-60 or hitting that top speed.

Customers can buy the new Vantage now with an MSRP of $149,995. Deliveries are expected in the second quarter of 2018.
