Being what Aston Martin calls the “the most powerful, most efficient and most dynamically gifted DB model in Aston Martin’s history,” you’d expect the DB11 to sound good. And boy does it ever.
In a video uploaded by Jalopnik, we get a chance to hear the Aston Martin DB11 rev its twin-turbo 5.2-liter V12 engine. Yes, that’s right, a twin-turbo V12 engine. Piping out the noise is an electronically controlled, fully catalysed stainless steel exhaust system with cross pipes.
Aston Martin notes in the car’s revealing press release that the exhaust notes gives off a “magnificently rich and potent soundtrack that can switch from mellow to malevolent with a squeeze of the throttle.” I’d say they’re spot on.
