Audi R8 Generations Compared in Epic Testing

It is hard to believe the Audi R8 has been in production for almost 15 years. Under the stunning exterior is an aluminum spaceframe. Initially developed for the Lamborghini Gallardo, the R8 is essentially a cousin of the Italian supercar. The first generation could be had in coupe or spyder, V8 or V10 engines, with a manual transmission option for all models. But the V8 was discontinued due to low demand, and the manual transmission was eventually phased out. When the Huracan arrived in 2014, it spawned the 2nd Generation R8 the following year.
