Bentley brings past and future to Monterey Car Week.
Whether it’s for its ultra-luxurious lineup, cherished legacy of classic race cars, stunning bespoke creations, or cutting-edge engineering that brings performance, efficiency, and sustainability to a new level, Bentley is one of the most celebrated and buzzworthy names in the luxury automotive industry. This past year, Bentley’s lineup has undergone a massive transformation, introducing a new series of performance-oriented hybrid powertrains and new generations of its venerated lineup, as well as a new concept, the EXP 15, that previews an even more ambitious future for the manufacturer.
The EXP 15 concept is making its global public debut at this year’s Monterey Car Week, one of the world’s most prestigious, exclusive, and anticipated annual automotive events with some of the world’s greatest, rarest, and most expensive luxury, classic, and exotic cars competing in Concours events, being displayed, and being sold at auction. In addition to the debut of the EXP 15, the Continental GT Speed will be at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, to display new paint technology, and the new Bentley Bentayga Speed will make its stateside public debut.
Also, Bonhams is set to auction a one-of-a-kind Bentley surfboard, created to support SurfabilityUK and crafted out of Koa wood from Bentley’s wood shop, typically used for veneers. To round out the manufacturer’s Monterey Car Week presence, a stunning classic from the Bentley Heritage Collection, the Mark V Corniche from 1939, the result of a stunning restoration project bringing a car that was destroyed in World War II back to life. The car’s presence on the peninsula will mark the first time it’s ever been outside the UK or France. In addition, the 1930 Bentley Speed Six Gurney Nutting Sportsman coupe, which helped inspire the design of the EXP 15, will be present, bringing Bentley’s rich past and exciting future together as part of its Monterey Car Week activities.
