From power windows to vent fans, cars require a way to transform voltage into motion. Because efficiency requires the use of rare-earth magnets, Bentley has begun research on sustainable electric motors. It is an initiative from the Office for Zero-Emission Vehicles involving six leading brands across the U.K. With a target of 2026, they have three years to solve a complex problem.

Not only building a motor with less dependence on rare metals, but the other goal is also to clean up and streamline the recycling process from the junkyard back to the manufacturer. RaRE is the rare-earth recycling for E-machines, and it will allow manufacturers to re-purpose older metals while lessening the dependence on mining. If you want to experience how batteries and Bentleys complement each other, the Bentayga Hybrid has your name on it. So stay with us for all your Bentley news.
