Bentley is completing its new portfolio of Grand Tourers with the Flying Spur Speed, the most driving-focused version of the Flying Spur.
Following its presence at Monterey Car Week 2022, Bentley Motors starts fresh with a new portfolio of vehicles that shape the automotive manufacturer’s promising future. Aside from newly redesigned production examples like the Continental GT, Bentley reintroduces staple models that boast all-new design, technology, and performance. Completing its lineup of new luxury automobiles, Bentley Motors is proud to present the new Flying Spur Speed as the last piece to its performance puzzle. The Bentley Flying Spur Speed takes shape as a luxury performance sedan for the entire family, offering its clientele more choice than ever with an extensive configuration process. The launch of the Flying Spur Speed completes the model range and mirrors the existing Continental GT and Bentayga range.
Being the pinnacle of luxury and speed, the Flying Spur Speed features an aggressive exterior update with dark tint finishes to front grilles, headlights and taillights, and signature Speed badges on the lower wing. Capturing more horsepower and torque, Bentley’s Styling Specification includes a carbon fiber front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser, and a subtle deck lid spoiler to enhance aerodynamics. The Flying Spur Speed comes available with two optional 22-inch sport design wheels finished in Dark Tint, Gloss Black, Silver, or Pale Brodgar Satin.
Inside the Bentley Flying Spur Speed is a luxurious cabin that presents a new design using Dinamica, a material made from 73% recycled polyester that highlights Bentley Motor’s sustainable approach. Those looking to configure a Flying Spur Speed will have the choice of 15 unique leather colors, with Crown Cut Walnut, Dark Stained Burr Walnut, or Dark Fiddleback Eucalyptus as an alternative no-cost option. The driver’s information panel uses new infotainment graphics that take inspiration from luxury chronograph watches. All seats include heating, ventilation, massage, and two memory positions, with 24-way adjustment for the front and 14-way adjustment for the rear.
The Flying Spur Speed achieves an 84 horsepower increase over its predecessor using Bentley’s notorious W12 engine platform, generating 626 brake horsepower and 664 foot-pounds of torque. The Flying Spur uses the same 8-speed ZF dual-clutch transmission as the Continental GT for smooth and refined acceleration, quicker gearshifts, and improved fuel economy. The upgraded powertrain launches Flying Spur Speed from 0-60mph in just 3.7 seconds, and on to a top speed of 207mph. Electronic All-Wheel Steering comes standard to enhance both stability at highway speeds and maneuverability around town, shortening the wheelbase, reducing the turning circle, increasing agility, and making parking noticeably easier.
