Coming in as the latest addition to the BMW M Performance line-up is the all-new 2017 BMW M760i xDrive. This sixth generation 7 Series adds the very first M Performance TwinPower Turbo V12 engine to its offerings.
This phenomenal engine has 601 horsepower on tap with peak torque set at 590 lb-ft. Even though the BMW M760i xDrive has four doors, this engine is still powerful enough to get it from 0-60 mph in just 3.6 seconds. This quick acceleration is also due in part to the 8-speed Steptronic Sport Automatic transmission and intelligent xDrive all-wheel drive system. Looking for a top speed? It will hit a governed speed of 155 mph.
Sure, the power alone is breathtaking, but what will really take your breath away is the BMW M760i xDrive’s rich V12 soundtrack. To reduce backpressure, BMW routed the airflow as straight as possible and in the largest pipes possible. Within these pipes are rear silencers and a flap activation system, allowing the car’s sound to go from a refined note to a full-blown V12 orchestra.
Being an M Performance car, the BMW M760i xDrive include the M Aerodynamic Package as standard. Each piece within this package aims to make the car more efficient and attractive through design and function. Included in the package is a new front fascia with large air intakes, side skirts, mirror caps, exclusive 20-inch M light-alloy wheels, rear fascia and more.
Inside, the BMW M760i xDrive’s sporty attitude continues. The door sill plates are made of Fine Brushed Aluminum that features an illuminated V12 logo, so you know as soon as your open the door that this car is packing serious power. As for the interior itself, BMW has fitted the car with exclusive M Performance trimming, including the M leather steering wheel.
