First revealed to the world last year, the new Bugatti Mistral is the historic manufacturer’s latest masterpiece, and the final Bugatti hypercar to feature the legendary W16 engine. Despite being the newest car in Bugatti’s lineup, its undoubtedly a piece of honorable automotive history, capping off an incredible era of world-changing hypercars. To celebrate the legacy that the Mistral is creating, Bugatti brought it to the incredibly prestigious Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, and put it alongside another piece of automotive history that Bugatti is responsible for creating: the 57S Roadster coachbuilt by Corsica.

The 57S Roadster, made in 1936, is a stunning two-seater that characterized the pinnacle of the automotive industry like the Mistral does today, and the two formed a perfect pair at the historic event, showing off Bugatti’s century-long commitment to automotive excellence. Being an event for the world’s most collectible and historic cars, other Bugatti cars were also in attendance at Villa d’Este, an event that has taken place since 1929 and shared much of its history with Bugatti’s, with cars like the Bolide and La Voiture Noire being recent highlights of the events past iterations.
