Bugatti celebrates 100-years at La Turbie Hill Climb.

Bugatti’s legendary journey as an automotive brand highlights its dedication to pushing the boundaries of design and performance through its iconic examples. The history of Bugatti continues with historic models and event celebrations that bring together the best of both worlds. Bugatti is proud to take the Chiron Pur Sport back to La Turbie Hill Climb, the famous northern Monaco road course where Jean Mabille raced his Bugatti Type 13 over 100-years ago.

The course features sharp corners and steep inclines with natural road conditions that level the playing field for any drivers looking to take on the challenge. Back in 1922, Jean Mabille was able to navigate his Type 13 through the 4-mile course in 6-minutes and 24-seconds to win the eighth edition of La Turbie Hill Climb.

Bugatti pays homage to the racing icon and his Type 13 by taking on the hill climb in a striking silver and green livery Chiron Pur Sport, signifying how far the brand has come since its humble beginnings. Powered by a 1,480-horsepower 8.0-Liter Quad Turbocharged W16 engine, it’s safe to say that the Chiron Pur Sport improved its finishing time since the Type 13 sprint.
