Rare Sighting of Bugatti Divo Racing Up Mountain Pass

There’s nothing quite like the sound of the Bugatti W16 engine.

Just 40 examples of the Bugatti Divo were planned for production, making it a rare sight to see whether it be on the road or in a collection. Coined as Bugatti’s “first modern coachbuilt project,” the Divo was designed to be a track-focused hypercar that was inspired by the Type 57SC Atlantic and Vision Gran Turismo. A feat that proves how track-ready the Divo is comes from its Nardo test track lap time, which was 8 seconds quicker than the Chiron.

While the Divo has proven itself on the Nardo test track, it’s almost impossible to see the Divo being pushed to its limits on the track. However, we now have a video of the French hypercar taking part in the 2022 Bernina Gran Turismo Hillclimb event thanks to the YouTube channel 19Bozzy92. This event sees cars driving up the Bernina Pass in Switzerland for a total of around 3.67 miles. In the video above, you’ll see and, most importantly, hear the Divo ripping up the mountainside pass. Another great thing about the video is that the featured Divo is finished in a wild vibrant yellow finish that is honestly awesome. Click play up on the video, turn up the volume and enjoy the sounds of the iconic W16 engine for yourself.
