Steve even got the chance to sit in his Chiron Super Sport before body panels were installed!

While the excitement of ordering a multi-million dollar hypercar must be unmeasurable for any car collector, the adrenaline and anticipation are quickly halted with the news of a lengthy production schedule. With up to a year’s wait on Chiron examples, Bugatti keeps that spark alive by involving the customer through the process with updates and even visits to its headquarters in Molsheim, France. The Hamilton Collection recently took the trip across the world to tour Bugatti’s factory while getting an up-close look at Steve Hamilton’s upcoming Chiron Super Sport hypercar. The tour guide throughout day the was none other than Bugatti Automobiles President Christophe Piochon, who gave insight into the history of the famed Molsheim property.

The Atiler’s production line showcases Bugatti’s craftsmanship and attention to detail, with all Chiron configurations assembled strategically from the rear end to the front. While touring the production line, Steve noticed a stripped-down Chiron with a familiar set of vibrant orange brake calipers. After being introduced to his very own spec, the Bugatti team fixed in a temporary SPARCO race seat for Steve to sit in before his orange leather bucket seats were installed. An evolution of Bugatti’s hypercars is displayed in a museum-type space of the factory, proudly displaying everything from first production Veyrons to the exclusive, track-only Bolide. The fuel-driven tour concluded with a Chiron Super Sport test drive with Bugatti Pilote Officiel Pierre-Henry Raphanel. As The Hamilton Collection waits for its Bugatti Chiron Super Sport to be completed, the Veyron will have to fill the void for now.
