duPont REGISTRY Cars & Coffee: November 2018

Saturday signaled the start of Winter here in St. Petersburg. The cool & dry air was a perfect setting for our monthly gathering, so we were host to a massive crowd here at the duPont Registry. It coincided with the Tampa Auto Show, so we made sure to invite our guests to the after party at the Tampa Convention Center. Our new Monthly feature is to award the best car in the show, and it went to a wild Lamborghini Aventador.

Our goal for this month is to gather as many new bikes as possible, so our Toys for Tots donations were received in the showroom. The biggest surprise came in the form of a Rolls-Royce Cullinan. The smallest attendee was also the most impressive. The Friends of Largo Nature Parks arrived with two Owls and a beautiful Bald Eagle. They represent the Avian Veterans Alliance, a non-profit that rehabilitates our feathered friends. T&T Coffee Roasters had ample amounts of their amazing brew, and our team at BLVD Customs had their latest builds on display.

We couldn’t do this without the support of our dealers so we would like to thank Dimmitt Chevrolet, Dimmitt Cadillac, Aston Martin, and McLaren of Tampa Bay. Reeves Import Motorcars, Elder Auto Group, Bert Smith, Ferrari of Tampa Bay, and Hamburger’s Specialty Vehicles put on an amazing show. Pinellas County Sherriff Bob Gualtieri sent a few deputies in a classic cruiser, and they allowed us to have a fun & safe show.

If you plan on joining us December 15th, we are accepting new children’s bikes as long as a helmet is included. The Marine Corps took 2 truckloads last year, so let’s make it 3 for 2019! We enjoy a hobby unlike any other, and we should all take a moment to be thankful to enjoy our cars. Be safe in your Holiday travels, and have a great Thanksgiving from all of us.
