duPont REGISTRY Cars & Coffee: November 2017

Cooler weather is the signal for our November Cars & Coffee, and it was one for the record books. Our partnership with Motor Trend Auto Shows is now in its 6th year, and last Saturday coincided with the 2nd day of the Tampa Auto Show.

Everyone who brought a toy received passes for the Motor Trend Tampa Bay International Auto Show, and now our showroom is packed with goodies that are awaiting the Marine Corps. Our local dealers also participated so we would like to thank Bert Smith Automotive, Dimmitt, McLaren Tampa Bay, Mercedes-Benz of Tampa, Reeves, and Ferrari of Tampa for their steadfast support.

Saving the best for last, our friends at Specialty Vehicle Engineering arrived to unveil their latest build. The company was founded by Ed Hamburger as Street Legal Performance back in the late 80’s. Transforming the Firebird into the Firehawk, and the Camaro into the SS was how they improved on the factory designs.

Now they have resurrected Don Yenko’s recipe for horsepower so that the Yenko Supercar can be enjoyed by a new generation of gearheads. Joined by his son David, the SVE team unveiled a supercharged Silverado alongside their Corvette and Camaro builds. You missed a great show, so come see us in December and stay with us for more great Cars & Coffee coverage.
