2010 Koenigsegg CCXR: Fast Five
With only four of these cars in the world, it is one of the most sought-after exotic vehicles in existence. The 2010 Koenigsegg CCXR is also considered one of the most expensive cars. You can catch this car in the 2011 installment of Fast and the Furious, also called Fast Five. The CCXR features a two-door design with a large top body—a 4.7 L V8 engine powers the car. In Fast Five, we see both Tej Parker and Roman Pearce drive this supercar.
1979 Lamborghini Countach LP5000S: Cannonball Run
Lamborghini is still considered one of the top manufacturers of exotic cars. In the 1981 film Cannonball Run, we see one of the most popular Lamborghinis – the Countach LP5000S. Cannonball Run was rated as one of the most successful movies to land in 1981. This particular model was only produced between 1974 and 1990 – with only 1,983 made by the Lamborghini brand.
1961 Ferrari 250 GT California: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off has become a legendary film – and one that every movie lover needs to watch at some point in their life. In this film, we see the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California – an exceptionally rare model from the Ferrari brand. Fewer than 100 of these cars were ever made by Ferrari. During the film, however, replicas were used in some scenes, although close-up shots did include the real thing.

1982 DeLorean DMC-12: Back To The Future
Every generation today at least knows about the movie Back To The Future. It has become one of the most popular films to be released and continues to be a great choice for movie night today. We see a 1982 DeLorean DMC-12 in Back To The Future, where the vehicle is transported into the past and the future. Throughout the film, the vehicle is transported to 1955, 1885, and to 2015.
1967 Shelby GT500: Gone In 60 Seconds
Gone In 60 Seconds gave us the perfect combination of action and Nicholas Cage. In this popular film, we see Nicholas Cage drive the legendary 1967 Shelby GT500. Note that we’re not referring to the original Gone In 60 Seconds film, but rather the remake, which was released in the year 2000. Several models were used in the film, with one sold for an impressive $219,000 in the year 2017. The GT500 offered 600 horsepower and even had a number of modern features.
2010 Audi R8 Spyder: Iron Man 2
Who doesn’t love a superhero movie? In Iron Man 2, we see Tony Stark showcase his latest selection of cars in his collection. Watch closely, and you’ll quickly notice the 2010 Audi R8 Spyder featured among his collection – a model that is now highly sought after by the public. Not sure when to catch a glimpse of the car? 1994 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.6 964: Bad Boys
When it comes to the best exotic cars in movies – or at least in terms of popularity – the 1994 Porsche 911 Turbo is probably one that comes to mind first. Bad Boys is considered a cult classic film and remains a popular action film today. One interesting fact – the director, Michael Bay, owned the Porsche that can be seen in this film. In fact, Michael admitted that several cars in his collection had been used in films directed by this legend.
1999 BMW Z8: The World Is Not Enough
The 1999 BMW Z8 might not be the rarest vehicle in the world, but it is definitely considered exotic. The manufacturer produced 5,708 of these models, with only 3,160 entering the international market. In The World Is Not Enough, we see James Bond drive this particular 1999 BMW Z8 model. When it comes to action car movies, this is definitely an option you do not want to miss out on.
1994 Toyota Supra: The Fast And The Furious
Another one from the Fast and the Furious franchise. In fact, the car was used in more than just a single installment in the series – and plays a major role in the films. In The Fast and the Furious, we can see Brian O’Conner ride the 1994 Toyota Supra, featuring a 2JZ-GTE 16 engine, a 100-hp NOS system, and M5Tuners on the rims. Over $100,000 was spent on the restoration of this car.
1961 Jaguar E-Type Roadster: Austin Powers
Austin Powers is one of those movies that most people have watched before – young and old know this classic entry in the film industry. When you turn your attention to the first entry in the Austin Powers series of movies, released in 1967, you will see the 1961 Jaguar E-Type Roadster. The car features flag wrapping. 2002 TVR Tuscan: Swordfish

This one is quite an interesting entry in our list of the best car movies. A large number of exotic car in movies represent vehicles that are extremely hard to come by. When we watch Batman Begins, however, we see the Lamborghini brand make a debut for a new vehicle – the 2005 Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster. Christopher Nolan was the director behind the film, and the movie was produced by the well-known Warner Bros Entertainment company.

While an action or adventure film is great at times, some people may prefer to watch a documentary. If this sounds like something you are interested in, then the Ford Vs. Taking things a step further, Bruce Almighty displays the S7 during a scene where the Candy Shop song is played – and in this scene, the S7 is displayed as God’s own car.

The Italian Job has become a well-known film – especially among those who like a good combination of criminals, action, and some drama. Apart from all the excitement and thrills that we get when watching the Italian Job, we can also see the 1969 Lamborghini Miura. An interesting fact – while the Lamborghini Miura is crashed in the film, it was confirmed that it was not wrecked in real life.
1964 Aston Martin DB5: Goldfinger
The 1964 Aston Martin DB5 was first seen in Goldfinger but later also made a debut in the movie Thunderball. In 2010, the car was auctioned off – and was sold for quite a high price of $4.6 million. The fact that James Bond is seen driving the Aston Martin definitely added to the value. Today, however, the car can be found in the Louwman Museum, located in the Netherlands.

Another classic film that is great for people who simply want a good laugh, Dumb and Dumber, tells the story of two friends, played by Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels. Even though additional releases have been noted, the original Dumb and Dumber showcases a very popular exotic car – the 1991 Lamborghini Diablo.
2017 Mclaren 720S: Hobbs and Shaw
The Fast and the Furious has become a beloved collection of movies – but when you’re done watching everyone, consider moving over to Hobbs and Shaw. This is actually a spin-off film that is still related to the Fast and the Furious franchise. In Hobbs and Shaw, we see a more modern exotic car – the 2017 Mclaren 720S. The show allows us to catch Jason Statham in action – who also serves as the driver of the Mclaren.
2012 Bugatti Veyron: Need For Speed
Need for Speed is considered one of the best racing game franchises that exist today. The franchise only released a movie recently, but it quickly made waves among both fans of the games and those who enjoy watching the best car movies. In this movie, we are given a glimpse of several supercars – but one that really stood out was the 2012 Bugatti Veyron. We see the Super Sport Bugatti Veyron model featured in the Need for Speed film – a car that has been featured in a selection of Need for Speed games as well.
