Jason Bonham Compares The Lamborghini Urus Performante To Rock Music

If drummer Jason Bonham’s last name sounds familiar, that’s because he’s the son of John Bonham, the drummer of the legendary rock band Led Zeppelin. Out of the three “The Engine Songs” Spotify playlists that Lamborghini created, celebrating its loved powertrains by matching their notes to actual music by analyzing their frequencies and pitches, Bonham’s favorite was that of the twin-turbocharged V8 engine that powers the new Lamborghini Urus Performante.

In his praise for the engine note, he talks about how, both for him and his father, drumming relates to the sound of thunder, and he finds that the twin-turbo V8 under the hood of the Urus Performante does the same. Both Jason and John love the sound of the Urus, and it isn’t the only Lamborghini they share a fond memory of. Jason Bonham’s earliest Lamborghini memory is of his father driving a Countach, which was the beginning of a long story in which the two bonded over an excellent car. For both father and son, the unique and passionate character of Lamborghini’s incredible cars is something to marvel at.
