How quiet is the new Rolls-Royce Phantom? Quiet enough that rapper Skepta was able to record an entire song in the backseat of one while he was driven through the mountains of Switzerland.
“The Phantom really takes you away. I stepped in the car and there was no need to think,” said Skepta. “It was like sitting in first class on a plane minus the noise. Comfortable and silent, a perfect space to make music.”

In the video below you can see the recording in action. In the video, Skepta makes the beat on his laptop on the way up a mountain’s peak and then connects a mic to lay down the vocals. It’s pretty interesting to see just how quiet the Phantom really is, which is something Rolls-Royce pointed out when the car was first revealed.
