Watch Chris Harris Drive The $3M Aston Martin Valkyrie On Track

Developed with racing DNA from its winning Formula 1 team, the Aston Martin Valkyrie subjects owners and drivers to an automotive experience unlike any other on the planet. Since its first debut back in 2016, we have learned much more about the Valkyrie’s design, technology, and performance as a road-legal race car. Showcasing the talents of its partnership between Red Bull Racing Advanced Technology and Aston Martin, Top Gear host Chris Harris gets the opportunity to drive the Valkyrie around the Bahrain F1 track. Having been behind the wheel of the world’s most exclusive and powerful automobiles, Chris Harris’ decades of track driving have prepped him to push the limits of the Aston Martin Valkyrie.

Setting off around the 3.363-mile circuit, the sheer sound of its V12 Cosworth engine proves to be a hint at what’s to come for Chris’ test drive. While locked into the driver-oriented cabin, Chris shares with viewers that the Valkyrie is the fastest internal combustion car he’s ever driven as he fights for traction. Its aggressive drivability is achieved thanks to an intended 1:1 power-to-weight ratio, with a 2,271 lb carbon exterior and 1,140 horsepower powertrain. Although Chris mentions it after the drive, the most impressive aspects of the Aston Martin Valkyrie come from the small details of its body design. Even after falling in love with the Valkyrie, Aston Martin takes things a step further by putting Chris Harris inside the track-only Valkyrie AMR Pro. While the AMR Pro race car tackles corners like a champion, Chris still believes that the Valkyrie is one of the best road-legal production cars ever made.
